This video was originally taken in 1972 on 8mm Super 8 film by a Boatswain's Mate (rig captain) on the USS Haleakala AE-25. It shows the USS Newport News CA148 taking on munitions and other goods during WESPAC 1972. The camera and film were provided by Bruce Franklin who was a BM2 on the USS Haleakala. He edited his film and provided this video to be shared with all those who served on the Newport News and anyone else who shares an interest in great fighting ships. 5 min. 52 Sec. No Sound
