10/07/00		Chat Room connection changed to a more reliable system.
09/05/00		New "Crew Member Search Engine" installed to help make it easier to find who you are looking for.
09/02/00		History Pages updated.
Aug 2000		The USS Newport News Shipmates are in the process of making a permanent Memorial to the USS Newport News aboard the our sister ship, USS Salem. This is located at the "U.S. Navy Shipbuilding Museum", in Quincy MA.
June / July 2000		Steve Kennedy take on administration and webmastering duties of the memorial pages. Steve has spent a lot of time researching history and data. He then added many new pages to this section dedicated to those shipmates who lost their life while serving aboard the USS Newport News.
06/24/00		New Guest book Added to our web site. Jim Sollee take on administrator of this section and Chuck Zendner takes on webmastering duties.
May 2000		Major upgrade done to all crew members pages. Upgrade done by Steve Kennedy and Herman Fischer. Herman takes of as Webmaster for the Crew members pages.
02/28/00		Create "Site Map & Contact" page. To help identify what each section does and who is the webmaster for that section. A easier way for people to find and contact the webmaster they are looking for.
02/27/00		Update Reunion Web Pages. Add Newsletter Information, Add Jim Sollee to the "Receive Signup information" list so he can add the names to the Newsletter. Created a "History File" of those who sign up for reference. Break "1999 reunion Attendance list" into 3 pages to allow faster download.
02/25/00		Created the USS Newport News - Newsletter mailing list. Sent First Newsletter
0215/00		Move "NN Mailing List" from Topica.com server to our own server
12/06/99	Server Upgrade	Moved our web site to a New Service Provider. Our web site had grown to the Disk Usage Size of 68 Megs which was going to cost us about $80.00 a month on our current Internet Service Provider, So we move to a provider that would sell us 80 megs of disk space for $50.00 a month. Having the BIGGEST NAVY web site on the internet is great, but it is expensive also. Keep those donations coming in shipmates!

10/20/99		Jim Creates "Our Guys" page that Links to all the Internet Web pages of shipmates that have a Home Page.
10/10/99		Steve Kennedy joins the NN Webmaster Group and takes over the Awards Page.
10/07/99		Lee Mock new "Picture Page" is released to the public. Coon's pictures added to the pix pages.
10/06/99		Chuck Z updates the Memorial Page. Upgrade made to Main page and OCT 1, 1972 page. Added Jack Bergman's memorial page.
10/03/99	NNWM	New "NN Web Master" discussion group started.
10/03/99		Chuck Z Added all the new Awards received, Major change in Web page style.
10/01/99		Chuck Z adds the 'Sound File Page'. This new feature currently has a nice selection of sound files to listen to and download.
09/25/99		Added Jim Sollee's Web Page about Veteran's information and other assorted NN Subjects.
09/23/99		Added New Awards received from the "Veterans News and Information Services", Critical Mass Internet Resource Guide" and from "Lions International"
09/15/99		Jim Sollee creates the "Mailing List Archives Pages" to allow viewing of important postings from our mailing list.
09/06/99		Chuck Z Update Events Page Information, Update Prices of cruises
08/26/99	Header Graphic	Installed the new "USS Newport News Graphic" nn_header.gif, created by Paul Gretzinger in our Heading Area. (Nice Graphic Paul) Thanks!

08/13/99		Reunion 1999 Updates. List of Attendance added, 26 New Pictures of the reunion donated by Rags and the NNRA team, Reunion Poem by Ed Ellston added to the reunion web pages.
