Joseph V. Balzano December 19,1953.  Joseph V. Balzano died as a result of an accident on board the NN.
Terrence F. McGee March 12, 1960.  Seaman Terrence F. McGee drowned in an overboard incident in the Mediterranean sea.
Stephen Michael Brumfield July 4, 1972.  Stephen Michael Brumfield was killed in a Forklift accident while the ship was loading supplies off the Vietnam coast.
James J. Sansone September 10, 1972.  James J. Sansone fell overboard and was never seen again.  We want to remember you Jim.
We Remember We Remember  -  Dedicated to the men who died Oct. 1st 1972
A Night of Terror A Night of Terror by Greg McCaulley.  Written soon after the T2 event, this story expresses the feelings and events immediately after the explosion.  We will never forget this night and the tragic loss of our fellow crew members.
A Memoir and A Prayer A Memoir and A Prayer by Servando Pardo.  This article puts into words what many of us could only feel.  Anyone who lived on the USS NEWPORT NEWS on Oct. 1st, 1972, will appreciate the words of this memorial to our lost shipmates.
